TRAUMA INFORMED CAR

HAQI TRAUMA INFORMED CARE

HAQI Foundation recognize that many individuals in our community have experienced trauma, particularly in the wake of conflict. Our Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) approach ensures that we understand the full context of a person's life to provide effective support.

At HAQI Foundation, we are dedicated to transforming the landscape of mental health support in Tigray through various Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) projects. Recognizing the profound impact of conflict on our communities, we aim to address the psychological scars left behind by war, particularly among teachers and healthcare professionals.

Projects

1. Addressing Trauma in Teachers and Healthcare Professionals in Maichew

In the wake of conflict, the emotional scars left on our educators and healthcare workers are profound. Project TIG042, implemented in partnership with the HAQI Foundation and funded by USAID-ESP, aims to address this critical issue by providing trauma-informed care training to those who serve our communities.

2. Empowering Tigray Communities Through Mental Health Awareness

The conflict in Tigray has profoundly affected the region's mental health, compounded by stigma that obstructs healing. Project TIG047 aims to tackle these challenges by utilizing community radio to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding Mental Health and Psycho-social Support (MHPSS).
