Mental Health and Psycho-social Support (MHPSS) Training for Ethiopian Red Cross Society Staff and Volunteers

The HAQI Foundation, in collaboration with Ms. Nadine Kung a delegate from ICRC in the field of Protection of Family Links (PFL), is delighted to announce the successful completion of a one-day training on "Mental Health and Psycho-social Support (MHPSS)" on 24 June,2023. This training was conducted based on the invitation extended to us by our esteemed partner organization, Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS), and we are thrilled to share the outcomes with you.

The training aimed to empower participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide effective mental health and psycho-social support to individuals who have experienced trauma, crisis, or challenging circumstances. Through interactive sessions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants gained a deeper understanding of mental health issues, learned supportive interventions, and explored strategies to promote resilience and well-being.
We express our gratitude to ERCS for inviting us to collaborate on this significant training initiative. This partnership allowed us to reach a broader audience and contribute to the development of compassionate and supportive communities.
The training sessions were facilitated by our experienced professionals and experts like Ms. Nadine from ICRS in the field of mental health and psycho-social support. Their guidance and expertise provided participants with valuable insights and practical tools to enhance their ability to address mental health challenges.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants who dedicated their time and energy to engage in this training. Your commitment to learning and growth demonstrates your dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals facing mental health difficulties.
We encourage all participants to apply the knowledge and skills gained during the training in their respective roles and communities. By doing so, you will contribute to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for those in need.
We would like to express our gratitude to ERCS for their partnership and support throughout this training initiative. Together, we have made a significant step forward in promoting mental health and psycho-social well-being.
